Intended purpose
Jobson-Horne probe and curette is intended for use by otologists and ENT surgeons to explore the external auditory canal and remove cerumen and debris during aural toilet and otological examination. The instrument is introduced into the external auditory canal. The dual-ended design provides both a probing tip for exploration and a loop end for cerumen removal in a single instrument. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
