Intended purpose
Channeled director is intended for use by surgeons to guide instruments, ligatures, or sutures around anatomical structures and through tissue planes, and to protect adjacent tissue during sharp dissection in open surgical procedures. The instrument is placed along tissue planes within the operative field. The channel provides a guiding groove for ligature or scissor blades during dissection in confined anatomical spaces. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
