Intended purpose
Reverdin ligature needle is intended for use by surgeons to thread and pass ligature material around vascular pedicles, tissue pedicles, and deep anatomical structures during open surgical procedures. The needle is passed through and around soft tissue and vascular structures within the operative field. The sliding eye mechanism releases the ligature after placement around the target vascular or tissue structure. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
