Intended purpose
Mathieu needle holder is intended for use by oral surgeons and surgeons to grasp and drive suture needles during wound closure in fine surgical and oral surgical procedures. The instrument is applied to suture needles within the operative or oral surgical field. The reverse-action ratchet mechanism permits suturing without regripping during the suturing motion. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
