Intended purpose
Malleable retractor blade is intended for use by surgeons as an interchangeable component of a retractor system, shaped to the anatomy of the operative field. The blade is applied to visceral or soft tissue structures to maintain operative exposure. The malleable stainless steel construction allows the blade to be shaped intraoperatively to conform to the anatomical contours of the operative field. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
