Intended purpose
Hysterectomy forceps are intended for use by gynaecologists to clamp and divide the uterine blood supply and supporting ligaments during hysterectomy. The forceps are applied to uterine pedicles and parametrial tissue within the pelvic operative field of female patients. The jaw design provides a secure grip to prevent tissue slippage during clamping and division of pedicles. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
