Intended purpose
Iris spatula is intended for use by ophthalmologists to manipulate and reposition the iris during intraocular and anterior segment surgical procedures. The spatula is introduced into the anterior chamber of the operative eye. The flat, polished spatula tip allows gentle tissue displacement within the anterior chamber without disrupting the corneal endothelium. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
