Intended purpose
Lister bandage scissors are intended for use by nursing and clinical staff to cut and remove bandages, dressings, and wound care materials without risk of tissue injury. The scissors are designed with a blunt lower blade for safe passage under bandage material adjacent to patient skin. The blunt lower blade profile allows safe passage between wound dressings and patient skin to prevent inadvertent skin injury during dressing removal. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
