Intended purpose
DeBakey tissue forceps are intended for use by surgeons to grasp and manipulate tissue with minimal tissue trauma during open surgical procedures. The forceps are applied to soft tissue within the operative surgical field. The atraumatic longitudinal jaw serrations permit tissue handling without crush injury. The device is reusable and requires validated decontamination and sterilisation between uses.
