Intended purpose
Laryngoscope handle is intended for use by anaesthetists and emergency physicians to provide the power source and grip for a direct laryngoscope. The handle accepts interchangeable laryngoscope blades for use in the oropharynx and larynx of adult or paediatric patients undergoing laryngoscopy or orotracheal intubation. The handle connects to the blade via a standardised hook-and-bar fitting to provide reliable electrical contact for blade illumination. The handle is reusable and requires validated decontamination between uses.
