Intended purpose
Percussion hammer is intended for use by clinicians and neurologists to elicit deep tendon reflexes during neurological examination of patients. The hammer is applied to tendon insertion sites to assess peripheral and central nervous system function. The rubber striking head delivers a standardised percussion stimulus to the tendon insertion without tissue injury. The device is reusable.
