Intended purpose
Filter drum is intended for use by sterile services and central sterilisation department personnel to contain surgical instruments and textiles during steam sterilisation. The drum maintains sterility of its contents until opened at the point of use. The device is not intended for direct patient contact. The filter ports open during sterilisation to allow steam penetration and close automatically to maintain sterility during transport and storage. The drum is reusable.
